We enjoy surprising the public with event wines. One of them, CALOIAN – White Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, was produced in a limited and, moreover, unique edition. It seems difficult to imagine that, out of a variety of grapes having such a strong personality as Cabernet Sauvignon, the oenologist could “shape” such a wine.

Though it was obtained out of Cabernet Sauvignon red grapes (the 2014 crop), the “product” stands for a novelty among the white wines. The crystalline-cream color, the fine, slightly vegetal structure, masked by a floral one, dominated by nuances of white peaches, of acacia and linden blossoms, make the wine peculiarly “playful”. Its acidity increases the freshness, and the mineral tone makes the wine more complex, easy to associate with salads or desserts dished up in summer.

After tasting, it reminds the already known variety of imperial red wine, though happily turned into a white, young and lively wine.

CALOIAN: Cabernet Sauvignon Alb 2014 was bottled in only 12,800 glass bottles.
