Daniel Ștefănică Collection

“Daniel Ștefănică Collection” is part of a broader concept designed to explore and promote an aspect of art that is closely linked to the artist’s “pure” creative output: the role of the collector and the nature of collections. There is an organic connection between those who create art and those who “gather” it and “take care” of it.
Crama Oprișor marks this occasion by presenting the exhibition “Only Painting” (“Numai Pictura”), curated by Erwin Kessler, which showcases a selection of paintings from the Daniel Ștefănică Collection.
The 2026 edition of “The Collection” is dedicated to the contemporary art heritage assembled by collector Daniel Ștefănică. Thirty years ago, he began building a collection that would go on to become one of the most significant in Romania, comprising spectacular works by contemporary artists who are essential to the nation’s culture.
In collaboration with Daniel Ștefănică, we selected specific varieties from Crama Oprișor’s diverse range of wines to craft a dry red blend that mirrors the character and personality of the Collection. The oenological formula is as follows: 60% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Fetească Neagră, and 5% Shiraz. It is a powerful, tannic, and generous wine with exceptional aging potential.
The artwork featured on the label—titled “Viaduct”—is part of the Daniel Ștefănică Collection and is a painting by the artist Bogdan Vlăduță. The concept for the collection belongs to Ciprian Paleologu, while the wine itself was crafted by Liviu Grigorică, with Marius Șfanț serving as the oenologist.
This edition consists of 5,656 numbered bottles.
